That deer I lost, and found a week and one day later. But the antlers on it really were strange, can anyone give me an explanation? thanks a bunch!

Probably had an injury on the left side some where. If they get hurt on one side, the antlers will be affected on the opposite side. Or it could have been damaged while in velvet.
But judging from the pic my guess is on injury to his left side of his body some where.

The deer appears to be "melanic" an issue pertaining to the color of the hair being darker. I would think his antlers also show this trait being it is also a condition that relates to being "melanistic".
But I could be wrong, maybe. I also just looked at your images on the other post. The deer in this picture just appeared darker I am thinking do to the lighting and moisture in the image. So scratch the "melanic".

Doesn't look to be a single leg injury as both antlers look to be affected. Had a buddy kill one really similar looking like this once and it had a ton of infection around the skull plate in its head?

We're all just guessing.
My guess is he simply fell down (while in velvet), hit his antlers (tree, ground, fence, etc.), twisting & damaging them when they were still soft & formative.
Normally, male deer are highly protective of their velvet antlers, as they could be described as having the sensation of wearing their testicles above their heads. Whatever he did, bet he doesn't do it again.

Lol Wes thats funny...Thank you guys for the responses.. I hear people say "good thing you took him out thats bad genetics" and what not..but I just wanted to understand better
