Haven't had any of the seed ticks on me til today. I had permethrin sprayed on my boots but had shorts on and went trimming a old log road and felt something above my knee and it was a wod of them. I bet there was a thousand in one spot. I hate them. I finished trimming and went wide open to the shower. Anyone else got into the ticks yet???

I sprayed my shorts and wore sandals in the woods today, I will find out in the next day if it worked on the chiggers. Didn't notice any ticks at all which is good.

I duct tape my pant legs to my boots, spray down and use a sticky roller from the waist down when I get back to the vehicle. Seems to work great. None this year.

I've had trouble with them every tie move gone in the woods just about this year. Between the ticks and chiggers I'm itching up a storm!

No way in the world would I wear shorts and sandals where I knew there'd be ticks and chiggers. I spray down everything before going and usually don't have any problems.

Dang Cat, you're tougher than me.

I always wear my pants tucked down into my boots, shirt tucked into my pants and SPRAY like crazy. Been pretty lucky so far. I hate getting eat up by any kind of bug, but chiggers and ticks have to be the worst!

I know a guy that literally learned how to walk in the woods and he wears shorts all the time. He simply goes over his body and picks the ticks off as necessary. Quicker than wearing pants and the ticks sticking to your pants and getting you later.

I go in the woods all the time in shorts. Briars is what bothers me.

well I got just a few chiggers around the ankles but that's the only place they could bite, if they tried to come up they'd get permethrin. That spray is magic gold in a bottle

Turkey season got pretty bad and havent gone in the woods as much as I was hopin to this year so havent bought permethrin yet. We dont have this problem where im from so I cant really identify the different types but ive had about 5 different species/looks of ticks on me so far this year, they love me lol..... the other weekend a buddy and I went wishin, I had my boots and some old work jeans that had some holes in the knees, the way back to the truck had to go threw some bushes and stuff no big deal, load up get bout 3 miles down the road and felt somethin on my knee, I look down and BOTH knees were literally crawllling/swarming/infested!!!!!! I stopped in the middle of the road jumped out in peer panic dropped my pants and tried swattim them off, no use there were THOUSANDS! I took my lighter and started makin burn rows all down my legs (a funny site indeed im sure), worked good other than burning half the hair off my legs lol, but the lighter wasnt keepin up, I had a fatty dip of good ole Copenhagen Natural in and figured chew juices are good for other things maby they were for chiggers to... IT WORKED! It seemed to kill them wherever I would rub the juice in lol.... well to make an already long story shorter... for two nights I had to make a Vicks Vaporub and salt mix and apply from belt line to toes to reduce swelling and itching senasation of well over 2,000 bites!!! Some are startin to go away now after two weeks but still alot to go. Needless to say im get permethrin this pay check lol
