She is fat and out of shape and hasn't been hunted in months but she gave 100% today. I only hunted her for a hour as it was a little warm here today. She made a den and then 1 on the outside and another den and then I called it a day as she was tired already. I will get her tuned up and in the process she will get me tuned up! lol

That's awesome! Congrats. What breed of dog is she?
She is a Ladner bred Blackmouth cur. Best dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I have had a truck load of them over the years. She will die here.

Yes she is. She lost it while my son had her out coonhunting one night several years ago.We can only guess at what happened...my son had just cut her loose after shooting a coon out to her that she had treed. He skinned the cooon out and sent her on...shortly there after he heard her yelp and looked on the Garmin to see that she was headed back in...when she came into view he thought it odd that only 1 eye was shining..he checked her immediately and realized her eye had been punctured...the fluid was draining out of her eye at this time....I made a ER call to our vet but the damage was to severe to save her eye. What ever penetrated her eye almost penetrated the back of her eye socket...we don't know if she fell off of a log or cleared a fence and ran something into or what...as she can clear a fence like a deer. So they removed her eye and trimmed her eye lids and sewed them shut....it was heart breaking to watch her try to remove what was covering her eye....she finally accepted it and to see her go she is no worse for the wear....she is all heart!
