Got a break from school and made the trip out to the farm in Rutherford and was pleasently surprised to say the least..Seems every doe has one or two little ones in tow, and the numbers of sightings were plentiful. Managed to stick this ole nannie sunday mornin.

Also broke some more ground to try to help implement a variety of food sources due to the lack of acorns this year..Hope to reap the benefits come December..Only problem is I'm slightly behind the 8-ball at getting these smaller plots established..Here's a pic for representative purposes..slightly above an acre in size. Was thinking planting White ladino mixed in with some wheat..Any suggestions??

Sounds like you have a good plan, keep it up, in a few years you should see a big difference from how it is now.

The wheat/clover mix will work well, might try adding some chicory to the mix to fill it out some with another perennial over the summer months in case of a lack of rain.
