Only about 6 more to go, I really need more free time, lol, this one is on a good salt lick just inside the edge of a hay field that leads to a bean field , found 4 different trails leading near this spot, got some good oaks around too, including a couple big white oaks

You're joking, right? Climbing a shag bark has never worked out for me.

Just checking. It never fails that I find the perfect setup and the only straight, climbable tree is a dang shag bark hickory. :)
 
yep, but that shag bark is the exception.....the rest of them are like climbing concrete....esp in cold weather! ;)
