First on camera this year. Bledsoe county.
Had a blurry pic of these 2 a few nights ago as well.

Seems early
It is a bit early on average. However, everything about deer biology dates in the Southeast is a bell curve. "Most" deer do a certain thing at a certain time, but there will always be outliers. For example, antler velvet shedding. On a single property, the date bucks shed velvet will stretch across at least 30 days, and usually more. I'll find bucks out of velvet by August 24, and also find a buck still in velvet near the bow opener at the end of September.

Yeah...I know. Just trying to keep your mind on positive things instead of basement sewage and such. :D

Oh man... Plumbers were here today tearing out all the walls and ceilings. Getting closer to running water throughout the house, but the amount of drywall work we're going to need...

Had 2 with nubs walk up on me turkey hunting the other day. Guess it's that time of the year.

Had 3 come by 2 days ago. All 3 were big deer but the one in the back was a really big bodied deer and had around 8" nubs already. He looks like he is going to be a really impressive deer this year. The other 2 had nubs like the ones in the other pictures but were pretty decent sized in the body. Only thing is they are off limits here at the house. I'm in Hamilton County.
