Got my mount / age please (trailcam + jawbone)

I was really pleased with the way my mount turned out. It was the first "full sneak" pose I've had done. I also asked the taxi to keep the jawbone for me so I could show it to all of you. How old do you think he was?

I would say 3.5 based on the teeth. At least 3.5 in the trailcam pics, but they are September pics. This makes me lean a little towards 4.5. I would say at least 3.5 and maybe 4.5.

Nice buck and mount. Do you have a zoomed out pic of it? According to the trailcam pics, your mount pics aren't giving the antler size "credit" since it is taken so close.

By the pictures of him, especially the sagged belly and well defined front shoulder, I was guessing 4.5 easy. I dont really know how to age by teeth, but i expected to see more wear. So i guess 3.5 to 4.5 is going to be the consensus.

If yall were to look only at the pictures and not the jawbone, what would you say? I agree that the jawbone says 3.5, but I can't reconcile that with what the deer looks like on the hoof. I've got a lot of pictures of various deer on that farm and several that I am almost certain are 3.5 and this deer looked definitively older than those. Wonder if the taxidermist got the jawbones mixed up. Or maybe I'm just in denial. Probably denial.

Jawbones only show minimum age. Do you have any Nov trail cam pics? It is hard to tell age in Sept. I lean towards 4.5 from the trail cam but would like to see a late Oct or Nov pic.

No later pictures. He disappeared after Sep. until he ran a doe by me the day before Thanksgiving.

After watching several QDMA videos on jawbone aging, if someone handed me that jawbone without anything else, i think i would lean towards 2.5. I know my deer is older than that though.

sometimes the dentine is lighter in color making it hard to tell where the enamel starts. Yours may look younger because of it.

I can't do teeth but body looks like 3.5 long legs in comparison to the chest and belly
