They do for the typical score for the all time record book, to make the yearly awards they have to net 160 but his deer deer would score as a non-typical which the minimum is 195

Nontypical minimum for boone and crockett awards is net 185. All-time is net 195.

The 185 nontypical score is basically the same thing as the 160 typical score. For biological purposes and record keeping it is considered to earn the "award" of Boone and Crockett if it meets those numbers.
