I have hunted my butt off since bow season started, have only seen one decent buck while in the stand and that was 3 weeks ago. Anyways I got home a little late but I have a stand not far from the house so I rushed out and got in the stand about 4:00. Only saw one spike until this 8 pt came out right at dark, came right under the stand and looked up -spooked and ran out in front of me. Knew he was a decent deer so took the first shot I had with my cva. Turned out to be the best deer I've ever killed! Don't know how much he weighed but he was heavy. Sumner county

Good buck! Congrats! He does look pretty heavy. You might consider investing in a set of cotton scales. That way you can always weigh your deer. When I killed the heaviest deer I've ever killed he was so big I wanted to know what he weighed. I drove an extra hour both ways to get to a place that had scales just so I could see. 275 pounds on the hoof and dressed out at 225. Afterward I bought a set of scales.

Yeah I've been meaning to get some scales, and 225 pounds that was a giant!
