When you really look at how many people are there I guess we have been really lucky.

Last year at Gooch we got the number 5 pick.
No clue where to go and at that time no means of building a duck blind so we had to basically take the only spot left with a blind.

This year there were 3 spots left when we got drawn.

Number 18.
About a strong 7 iron from the ramp.
There is a blind already there but it looked like it was in pretty rough shape.

After we looked at it, we need to replace a floor joist and the roof had fallen in, but it won't take that much to fix it really.
One day of work will fix all the structural stuff and then all we gotta do is brush it and do the luxury stuff. :D

Overall I am tickled to death. :D

Good for yall! We went with a open water blind this yr. Last yr we had a shallow water hole and they dropped the water to the point of it being mostly mud in our hole. What water did stay only stayed frozen most of the second half of the season. I hope it is a repeat of last yr. The water is deep for us this yr. If nothing else we should get a chance at divers.

Congrats on the draw, Ruger! We drew Blind 12 in the timber. We've got about the same amount of work to do to it as you do to 18.
