U can but dought u could hit the broadside of a barn past 20yards. Sabots need rifleing to spin it. Regular slugs have there own rifles to spin them
 
You can but it won't stabilize. Rifled slugs do not spin, the ribs are put on it to ensure the slug expands and grips the bore, told to me by a rep at Federal in case you were wondering.

sales reps don't always know what they are talking about. rifled slugs DO spin.

Correct, a rifled slug has slanted grooves that cause the slug to spin, the rifling in the barrel causes a sabot to spin.

Don't waste you money. Buy cheap foster slugs like remington sluggers or rifled slugs like Brenneke KO's or Fiochis. If you already have some, see if you can trade them to someone, sell them, or save them for when you have a rifled barrel.

Ditto

Inexpensive rifled slugs like the remington sluggers are "deer" accurate out to about 50 yds with a modified or IC choke. Sabots require at least a rifled choke tube , or better yet a fully rifled barrel to perform.
