The kids have had some good 50 yards and less gun hunts the past few years. I caught one on my iPhone but am considering another method.

I'm thinking about a GoPro on the gun or my head and perhaps a Tactacam on the gun.

Tactacam vs. GoPro? Anyone have any experience?

Wal mart has Tactacam Solo for $150 and used GoPros are all over marketplace. I would just want a newer one that was already weatherproof without a case.

I have a Tactacam with the FTS (Film Through Scope) attachment. Mounted on the scope exterior or on the weapon, the video is much clearer than it is using the FTS attachment.

The Tactacam FTS attachment takes a lot of tweaking to get it properly focused. The trick is getting the scope focused for the camera and not your eye. I finally took off the FTS attachment and just mounted the Tactacam to the scope body and used it that way.

This is the link to the post I made two years ago as I was working with the Tactacam.
