Interesting, the red oaks in my area have just a very few acorns. Yet I've been working up by Springfield TN and the reds up there are absolutely loaded.

pretty much all the trees I have looked at or had time to look around after one of our many storms have had green acorns on them or under them. I think it will be a bumper crop in Rutherford. Last year was spotty at best, so not shocked.
