This is a prime example of what happens with good food, sanctuaries and lots of stand choices resulting in limited pressure. For the naysayers that claim big bucks don't venture forth on food plots during daylight, he was killed at 4:00 PM making a scrape on edge of plot. Taxidermist said that he thought that we'd be surprised when he pulled the jaw bone, as he is probably younger than what we thought.

23 1/2" inside spread
22" main beams
6" bases
184 lbs.
152 3/4" B&C

Update:
One of the guys just sent me a pretty cool video of him working a scrape a few days before he was killed.

Great buck. Congrats. Its does appear to be a 3.5 to me as well. Did you guys have any history with this particular buck?

Not before this summer. But we got quite a few pics of him from July on.

Fantastic buck!

Considering the summer picture, I would lean towards 4 1/2.

Although I still maintain that mature bucks using food plots during daylight during hunting season is a rare event.

Awesome buck. With those genetics at 3.5 he would have a real chance to be a booner in a couple years. A great buck that nobody could have passed regardless of what he could have been. Congrats

Body-wise everything suggests at least 4-1/2, interested in seeing the teeth when you get them.

4-1/2 was where I was at too. Will see what the teeth shows.
