Looks like I am going to miss opening morning. It will be the frist one in a long time. However I hope y'all have some luck. I may get out tomorrow evening if I am Lucky.

Thanks but sorry about missing opening day. So far no deer but I'm enjoying it all the same.
Saw 0 deer Sat morning, went to a different stand on my place for the eve hunt and saw 3 does, two younguns trying to keep up with their mama's, one mama being pushed by a little 4 pt. It's close here, but not full on yet.

Saturday afternoon was my First sit of the year. Saw two deer,not sure what they was. I got to wondering with the dry conditions how many fires would be started Saturday by the old flame throwers like mine. Lol

Should not be a fire issue with a good patch. A wet enough patch should smolder out quickly if it has an ember at all. Seeing several young bucks chasing does on missed a nice one late yesterday in a brier thicket broad side at 50 yards. You got to love a hang fire ........
