Good grief

Finally got MOST of our decoys untangled and put back out.
Hole is low enough to wade again so we got the spread looking pretty good and I be dang if it ain't gonna flood again.

This crap is getting old quick.

Dang! Sounds like a lot of work. I hope it works out. This flooding stinks. We were supposed to do Christmas in the morning at the in laws, but it looks like I will be moving our camp from the river. TN river is coming up fast!

It's crazy man, last time we got 10" of rain. River crested at 34.
This time nowhere near as much and it is predicted to crest at 35.

We picked the dekes up last time and it was over a week before it dropped enough to put them back out.

This time we just can't go get them.
Gonna suck but maybe the treeline will catch the majority of them.

If I knew there would be this few ducks this year I would have put out about a dozen and rolled with it.
Probably would have killed just as many, if not more, ducks.
AND I wouldn't have 1,000 in the trees.

Different subject...have you ever heard of Generation 2 Generation? Apparently it's a duck hunting outfit and looks like they're around the Obion river near Gooch.

They do guided hunts and saw they were near Gooch. A guy I know booked a hunt with them in January and I'm going. Just thought you might know of them.

No flood ever is the same. The difference this time is that the Miss. river is close to flood stage. The Obion will rise faster and higher when it is backed up by the Miss. R.

I know the guys at generation 2 generation extremely well and have hunted that private farm every year at least once for the last 10 years or so. shoot me a pm if you want to know more.
