Performance! I also use it bear and hog hunting. It's my mountain gun. This was the shot location. He was trotting hard away from me. Shot thru the liver exited behind the shoulder. Blew both lungs to pieces. He rolled at the shot got to his feet and ran 40 yards and tipped over. Blood trail a blind man could follow .240 XTP underwood ammo.

What caliber big boy lever action rifle is that? I have one in .357 and have yet to take it out hunting but I want to kill a deer with it.

I keep them 100 yards or less but I bet it would do 125. Thinking about getting another Henry but the steel version and putting a low power scope on it.
