Gooch WMA question

I have called several times but haven't gotten anything but voicemail.
I am sure the manager is VERY busy this time of the year.

I am confused about when the wma is closed.
I have heard and could have sworn I read somewhere that it is closed to all activity for 2 weeks prior to the season.

The way I understand it this year duck season opens on November 22 & 23 and then closes until November 29 then it is open for the remainder of the season.

The hunting guide says the following:

Same as statewide seasons, except Units A and E
are closed during the waterfowl seasons and are
closed to all activities five days before the first
opening of the late duck season.

My questions are, (1) on Gooch Unit A do they close the wma on November 17 or will it be November 24? (2) Will we be able to hunt the first two days on November 22 & 23 ?

Gooch Units A & E are closed to all activities in the sub-impoundments 5 days prior to the statewide duck opener. So, from from Nov. 17-21 these units are closed to all activities. Duck season is open Nov-22-23, so all other activities are prohibited except waterfowl hunting. Duck season is closed from Nov. 24-28, at which time big game and small game hunting is allowed on Gooch A & E. Duck season opens again Nov. 29- Jan. 25, all other activities are prohibited during this period except waterfowl hunting.
