Just thought I would share this with anyone that might be hunting at Gooch.
I called Larry Armstrong a couple weeks ago and apparently misunderstood him as per the closing of the access prior to duck season.
THE LAST DAY YOU ARE PERMITTED TO BE ON THE WMA IS NOVEMBER 22.
I was straight up WRONG about it.
I had planned on putting out some decoys on Black Friday, but definitely have to have a different plan.
The week between the "two day" and the Dec. 5 opener the WMA is open to access, but closed to hunting of course.
Also, he did say that you CANNOT DRIVE A TRUCK UNDER THE TRACKS at this time due to high water.
So, for what it's worth there it is.
I was probably the only person in the state that had the date wrong in my head but just in case I wasn't there ya go.
