well that was a wasted trip. 3 bites in 2+ hrs. no hook-ups.

Hey stik, You didn't stay long enough to figure it out. I stayed long enough to figure it out. I figured out 3 things during my 8 hour excursion.

A. The fish were not biting.
B. I stink at fishing.
C. Both A and B apply.

Wait a minute man, you just gave a guy instructions on how to catch fish around Denson's island! Apparently, they did not apply this weekend. Just jivin' you man. However,when I read your deal, I wondered how you even fished around the island on the weekends with it being used as a beach party location. lol

Hey 4onaside, you know how those fisherman lie!LOL. Yeah when I fished Denson's the other day It was during the week. And as for the Island, it is not much of a party location any more.Plus i get our earlier than the party crowd. My excursion i was refering to with stik was a trip to the Duck River Saturday. I did manage 14 nice white bass, but that is not what I was after. I only boated 4 smallmouth and 2 kentuckys. This is not acceptable by my own standards. So i figured I stunk at fishing... that day.LOL

When you talk about the Duck River, are you talking about the bay where it runs into the main lake, or on up the river a bit?

Saturday I put in on Duck. I started fishing a couple miles from the mouth(Where duck dumps in TN river) and ended up fishing several miles above the mouth of the Buffalo River.

AllOutdoors, I'll probably never fish there, but always curious about where guys in my general vicinity are fishing and what they are catching. I do most of my fishing of Tn river/Ky lake now in the Beech River because I have a contact up in the bay, private ramp etc. Also closer to my house, Graham, Crockett and Beech.

Lakes Graham, Davy Crockett and Beech being relatively close to my house, which may not have been clear the way that I said it.
