I've shot the Velocity arrows for a while but was testing a 500 grain Gold Tip Pro Hunter 300. I prefer the flight of the Velocity 300 with my Nitrum Turbo.

Although I'm not crazy about the weight (367 grains) these arrows fly like a laser.

I'm getting 82 lbs KE and .52 momentum with this light arrow. Would yall have any reservations hunting with it? I DO KNOW that the Velocity arrows are very tough so I'm not worry about them shattering.

Thoughts?

I used them last year and going to use them again this year—great results!

Thanks Andy.

I kinda got wrapped up in the extremely popular "heavy arrow" debate over on AT. Although the heavy arrows do carry more momentum, the fast, light arrows can kill whitetail quickly. The Gold Tip Velocity arrows are tough.

With that said I'll stick with the Red Head Toxic Blackout fixed blade or the 1 3/8" Grim Reaper with the lighter arrows. I don't plan on shooting the big cut mechanicals.
