Climbed a tree in the dark in the bottom of a hollow 1 morning,30 minutes after daylite i hear a big buck coming up behind me, eased around and it was a skunk backing up towards my tree. He was dragging leaves and went right under my tree,there was a hole under the lower side i didnt see, stayed till 10 and was scared to death getting my stand off and leaving

I've walked in and driven in on trails or old roadbeds before light and had them get in front of me and just waddle along in front of me for almost the length of distance I had to travel before finally jumping off the road. I never considered putting it in passing gear to get around them. Here in west Tn getting sprayed by one of them traveling in the dark is my number 1 fear.
