Well went to do some scouting this evening and about 45min before dark i set down beside a couple fresh scrapes just to see what will happen before dark and all i could think about was wonder how big of a buck made them sctapes when looked up and there he stood at 250yrds out and was walking right to me when he got to 85yrds he turned broadside so i gave it to him and watched him run back across the field. Now i been hunting for 21yrs and this was far the biggest buck i had ever put in my scope i think the shot went a little high due to his large horns (buck fever) i tracked him for about 150yrds when he crossed the fence on to anther property i cant hunt going ti ask the lady in the morning if i can enter her property to look fir him. Going to be a long night and hope she has no problem letting me on her property. Hopefully will have pic. In the morning

If u don't get permission, call the game warden. He'll either escort you or you will have to get a permit from him.

When did they start doing this with the game warden permits. I shot one a few years ago and contacted the game warden and he told me if the land owner did not give u permission there was nothing he could do.

Well i did get permission to look only the only good thing wqs she new me i guess my onky fear was last night after i shot him i got back home and i coukd here coyotes yelping and going crazy so after a long night of worring that either the yotes got him or pushed him due to my not so great shot placement . My fears have came true i did find more blood the trail went up a little incline and under a tree was where he had laid for some time blood everywhere then he had got up and went out the ridge to where the blood trail finally stopped i walk circles for hours and hours from where i found last blood i went probably 3/4 to a mile out the ridge looking off both side and checking the creek dont no what else to do besides hope he is still alive or the birds find him for me

Thats what I thought. Needs to be changed it suck to have a deer run across a property line and just have to.leave it.
