Killed my first buck of the year yesterday afternoon. Had hunted this particular spot a few times already this year and kept seeing a large track in the field every time I went. I actually jumped this buck walking in yesterday. He was bedded down in a grass field that the farmer wasn't able to plant this year. I almost got a shot on him when he got up but was just a bit slow. I knew he had no idea what I was and wasn't really spooked at all so I made a huge circle around him and sat down in the field hoping he'd come all the way through the grass field into the bean field I was in. I couldn't believe my eyes when he popped out into the field not 20 minutes after I sat down. I was able to make a good shot on him at roughly 200 yards and he fell where he stood. Deer weighed 207 on hoof and dressed 164 lbs.
