I really like the little 42. Few of my friends have them and i handled one yesterday and almost bought it. Decided on the revolver instead just because i been wanting it for a while. I will probably end up with the 42 in a few months.

Talk is they are coming out with a single stack 9mm glock next year that will be similar to the 42. If so ill definitely own one of them.

I just got one. Only put 50 rounds through it; need to shoot more to increase my comfort level.

Really wish it was 9mm, but for the form factor and its a glock, can't go wrong

Yes. I bought it when they first came out. FTFeed and FTFire issues with mine and a buddies who bought at the same time. Sent it back twice to Glock. Most indignant customer service people I have ever dealt with. What upset me the most was the fact they are MADE IN GA! You would think their first USA build would be spot on , but I wasn't the only one.

Finally AFTER two returns its flawless after 500 + rounds. Accurate and fun to shoot.

I recently completed the Glock Armorer's Course and would like to know more about possible G42 problems.

Do you know what issues the pistols experienced?

We've sold a bunch of them (Bought three myself). We've had one issue because the owner incorrectly assembled his pistol. It was an easy fix and the pistol is now working well.

thanks,
Jim

Sure.

First off both myself and my friend who bought his the same week as I did from a different store took our pistols out together to shoot them with several different kinds .380 ammo. We both have many many years of semiauto experience from Glock and other manufacturers. We both had failure to feeds with actual rounds staying in magazines after the initial firing. This was with both magazines. We both had stovepipe issues as well and mine in particular had failure to feeds with Hornady Critical Defense.

My buddy sent his back once to Glock after a lengthy letter and mine required two trips back. Unfortunately outside of ONE PERSON at Glock that was sympathetic to a new gun owner and actually seemed to care. Personally I felt they wanted to deny any responsibility for anything. I Personally was disappointed as this was MADE IN USA.

SINCE the second trip back to GA, the gun has shot flawlessly. I personally think it was ramp issue as it looks as though they filed it down some off the sides?

Enough answers?

Thanks for the information, I would have guessed something with the recoil spring assembly prevented the slide from going far enough backward to effectively eject and load the next round. You're correct to expect, and demand, better customer service.... The Glock team are very nice when we are selling their guns ;o)

I had problems with stovepipe using pmc ammo. Another buddy did, too. Different ammo and no more problems. I am going to put a ghost trigger on mine soon.

Shoot bout 100 rounds finally through mine the other day I likey.
The 43 feels good too but I will stay my Ruger LC9 for now

Waiting on the 43 myself
You know those have been out for months right?

I'm waiting to find a 43 at a reasonable price. Know of anywhere?
Ahh gotcha. It really depends on the individual dealer's inventory. If you could get one for $450, I'd call that a deal.
