I am not a Glock fan, but knew I shouldn't have handled one this afternoon.... Oh well so many guns an oh so little time. I liked it
 
I like mine Mike. Its a handy little pistol. So far I have put around 300 rounds thru it without a hiccup. If you want to shoot it, let me know and you can borrow it for as long as you want. If you are wanting one, wait until the gunshow here in a couple of weeks and I will give you the name of the folks I got mine from. He beat everybody elses price by nearly $75.

Just curious how much are they selling for up that way?
 
I still don't "get" why this gun is as popular as it is. I know some people would buy a fresh dog turd if it says GLOCK on it, and that partly explains it. But to me, and it's only my opinion, which don't mean squat, but if I get a 380, it better be small and light enough to be a true "pocket" gun. The 42 is too big and heavy for this role, especially when compared to a few other models that do fit this role. On the other side of things, there a few makers that make a 9mm that is roughly the same size/weight/capacity... But its a 9, which gives you a lot more oomph at your fingertips. IF they made the Glock 42 a 9mm, and kept it roughly the same size, I would "get" it, but not in .380. I do concede it would make a nice ladies gun.

Most are in the $450 range Greg.
 
Ladies gun or not...I wouldn't want to get shot with a 380 at arms length. If I can fight my way back to the truck with it...then we can have a gunfight :o

Ive got a Seecamp for when I wanna pack in my thong and wifebeater. :crazy:
 
I handled one today and really liked it. Not sure I would buy a new one for that price when i can get another .380 just as good for a lot less, but if i find a good deal on a used one i will snatch it up to go with my Glock 17 and 26.

Have you shot one? Or carried one? I can carry it in my front pants pocket fine. I know the .380 probably isnt the perfect defense round, but I promise you dont want to take a round from one. As far as people buying a Glock for the name, I dont think there is anyone on here with the user name Glockman. Unlike other brand names. LOL.......
 
So if they made that gun in 9mm with roughly the same dimensions, would you keep the 380? Or give it to your wife? And if you knew anything about me, which you don't, you would know that I own a lot more guns that don't say Kimber, than ones that do.

LOL....I was just messin with you. You dont have to get upset. I dont think I would buy a 9mm. And no I wouldnt give it to my wife. I dont own but just a few handguns, they just dont interest me a much as long guns. These days the chances if you have to shoot someone they are going to be pumped up on meth and 9mm wont stop them with one shot either. Sorry I carry a womens gun but what the gun cant take care of I can. I dont have to carry a big gun to feel better about myself.LOL.......
 
Kimberman-don't bring reasoned logic into a discussion about a gun purchase-c'mon man!! I really like Glocks but don't care for the 42-thankfully that will save me some money. :)
 
Logic? maybe, maybe not. One thing, everybodys got their own opinion thats the good thing about it all. LOL... But to bad mouth others purchases is another thing. Myself I could careless what another man carries in his pants.

Check ebay, the is a slew of holsters there. I got a kydex pocket holster for mine.
 
I have a 42 and NOW love it. I carry it everywhere in my pocket holster inside Cabela's 7 pocket pants. I hate jeans. I did send it back twice to Glock for FTFeed issues. That all got corrected and now I have at least 600 rounds thru it without a problem. One of the more accurate pistols I own. Glove box or pants pocket it is better than not carrying. Hornady Critical defense is the load of choice.
