getting some wear on my slide about where the rounds eject .Ive had the gun for about 12 years and am a little worried.It runs fine but I dont like it ,any thoughts ?and does anybody have a slide for sale???mod.22 40 cal.
 
It's actually where the slide runs on the. Rails but right by the ejection port so the worn part doesn't hit the lower? The edge is not smooth u can feel a bump in the steel on the slide.the gun is about 12 years old or so .so. not sure about finish but the steel is (rolling) on the edges.
 
If the steel is changing shapes (not just colors), I would contact Glock. Be sure and tell them how long you have had it, etc. You may be surprised by their customer service...

Edited to add: if the slide is actually changing shape, I would stop shooting it until I heard from Glock. No sense in risking real damage to the gun or yourself.

just got off the phone with them .he said it was normal ware and the gun will function fine...but I can send the slide in and they will fix it go through the slide and replace anything that needs it for no cost to me!!!!turnaorund would be 2/4 weeks but probally faster!!!!!also foe $50 they will put new night sights on for me.you can't beat that with a stick!!Great C.S.
 
Awesome. I have never had a problem with any of my Glocks, but have heard other people who were pretty happy with their customer service. Glad they treated you right.
