Anyone in West Tn want to fish with me at Glen Springs tomorrow morning? I have been having some fun over there with the early morning topwater bite.

If I didn't have to work I would be there. I live 4 minutes from the lake and have only fished it 3 times this year! I have been working entirely too much!

I go to school in Memphis, and all my gear is at home in McNairy County, but if you have a rod and reel I could use and don't mind I'd love to fish in the morning.

I did go, bowhunterfanatic said he was coming but didnt wake up. I had a blast, caught 6 on topwater early and caught 6 on a Zoom Super Fluke.....All of them between 2-4 lbs.

I might go Saturday morning myself. Take the wife. That lake has some big fish. I have seen multiple 8+ come out of there.

I hit Glen Springs this morning before the scattered 10% shower parked over the lake for about an hour.

Had good luck working a KVD 1.5 around the shallows.

Decent one's on Jigs in the deeper water.

Nice fish! I miss being able to get out there during the week and being the only boat out there. Spent a lot of mornings skipping high school on that lake!

We all need to meet up there one morning. I live 10 minutes from the lake and I must confess, I am absolutely terrible there. I have never figured it out and must have some kind of mental block. I hate the place but want to learn how to fish it.

I am not any better trust me. I have gone in there and caught some fish before but most days I get skunked. I have had one excellent day (in my standards) where I caught 22 with one at about 5+.

I went again with my daughters boyfriend Sat morning and we had some fun. We caught 14 bass and I caught my biggest bass I have caught from there so far, which was 6.2 lbs. I have to say I can only recall ever being skunked there one time, and my 15 yr old daughter is the one that skunked me. Im game for showing any of you guys how I fish Glen, just let me know when and I will meet you.

I tried to put you on some fish there. :D

Unlike most people, I really liked it 3-5 yrs ago, when the grass was thick and grew deep. I've caught numerous 4-8 lb fish out of there, fishing deep grass in 15-25 ft of water. I have caught some decent fish out there this year, though.

It's all in the angle of the dangle of your worm in the water....:D

Well I would also love to meet y'all out there but I am gonna have to wait till January since deer season starts Saturday.... forgot duck season so looks like February.... Oh wait spring goose season, so april.... oh well then turkey season... so maybe next June I can go fishing! hahaha

I'm pretty sure the deer heard around Glen Springs Lake have been hit with CWD a.k.a. Blue Tongue. Just in the last few weeks I have seen two bucks floating dead out there and one of them was a mature buck with a very nice chocolate rack. If anyone wants pics of them just PM me your number and I will text them to you

I doubt the deer you have seen floating are CWD... one of the Deer I saw floating a buddy of mine turned him over, single bullet wound a little far back, and in the gut.

Authorities (TWRA GW) have been notified.... I dont know of a second one that was found floating

I have been a few times, but haven't done that well. I've been with mossyhorns, and he knows the lake pretty well. He probably has it rigged in his favor! :D

My brother and I went a few years ago and caught several different fish (crappie, bass, bream and catfish) on a pink firetiger roostertail. I didn't do near as well.

Maybe I need to give it another shot!

HA! You're right, John. Told ya all you have to do is follow TWRA around when they are doing their electro-fishing surveys on the lake. The key is having a good net. I managed to persuade these in to doing a photoshoot just for tndeer over the years. I have to go back and check on them every once in a while.
