ginseng turning yeller

i just got back from digging about 40 plants and just about all the big 3 and all the 4 prongs were turning yellow and looked to be dieing off. anybody else seeing anything like this

went today and dug bout a hundred plants, started the morning out with a sight of this snake, left it alone and found my biggest patch of season , 5 four prongers. some of them were yello and dried up. it will be a short season

dont mean to high jack your thread....i stumbled across a plant today that had the red balls on top didnt have any leaves on it and the stalk was yellowis and dyeing ....

after a quick google searh i figured it was ginseng but i left it cause i had no idea what i would do with it and didnt have a shovel....

what do you do with it when you find it?

if it had red berries and no leaves was prob.indian turnup not ginseng

i'm finding 50% yellow here....not a good year at all....

I've got 1.2 pounds dried so far, going to hit the woods hard in this weekend and next week, it's going to be a short year for sure. I hope we see high prices this year due to the lack of.

it's higher this year than it was this time last year, i'd say it will top off around 7 but i could be dead wrong

I remember them days and I miss them but I hadn't been any since my father passed in 2000. I use to be able to spot it a mile a way as a little boy and now I could probably step on it and wouldn't know. lol
