Just sitting here thinking, I bet a man could snag a couple bass with a jig or an 8" pumpkinseed lizard with it's tail dipped in garlic chart dip.

Just got back from there a couple hours ago. The wife and I went out and didn't have much luck with the bass. We threw crankbaits, spinners, double tail grubs, and worms. Nothing seemed to want any of it except a few catfish. However, the protected coves were stacked with shellcrackers that were hitting a red work under bobbers about a foot down. We ended up keeping ten but could've limited out if we wanted.

I got two bits and missed them both.
Both on the secret bait. :D

I threw jig, lizard, spinnerbait, flukes you name it.
Skunked.

Beat not fishing though. :D

Funny you mention that. I ran up on one spot and could smell them big time.
So much so, I might go back tomorrow.

I didn't even carry my ultralights today.

Caught few Tuesday mid-day,with this hot weather coming in should school up the better ones
