Heard this today at work.

TWRA has shocked the lake again and this time they pulled up TWO state record bass.

Bass Pro Shops has offered $250,000 for a live state record bass.

I hope its true, would love to see the record broken and hope its a kid (or me :D) that breaks the record!!!
 
I sure didnt catch it 2 weeks ago :D didnt even catch a fish there.

We did do decent weekend before that, caught several biggest was 2.2 tho.

The Bass Pro Shop part is sort of interesting since it is illegal to buy, barter, or sell a bass. I think it is even against federal law (Black Bass Act of 1926).

I guess the devil is in the details on how they do it.

maybe they are paying for the privilege of displaying it in their tank.

I know cabelas has tagged fish in lakes, not in TN but other places and one is worth 1,000,000. Maybe the same thing? I also heard that one of the line makers is offering something like this I u catch a record if u register with them first
