We've already knocked him down. I'm just curious as what everyone would scored him at and geussed his age to be. We had him aged by a biologist and had him officially scored. Unfortunately he was in velvet and unless we stripped all of it off he does not qualify for any record books that I know of.

We originally guessed him at 170 but what threw us off is we didn't realize how big his body was. He ended up weighing 272 live weight, which is crazy for early season, by far our biggest weight for that early in the year

Id put him at 163 and 4.5 maybe 5.5 but the early season body is tough...amazing animal though! what county was he in? when was the harvest?

I think he'll gross around 180. I got 183, but pics can be deceptive. Age I'd say mature, 4.5-5.5

Pope & Young keeps records for velvet deer now, no doubt he would be pretty high in them

Pretty rough pictures to judge from, especially having to chocolate chip cookie my head sideways... but I would say gross 172" (may be a few extra points that I am not seeing) and 5.375 or 6.375 years. Awesome deer any way you cut it!

Did I miss where he gave the actual score of this deer or did he just fall off the face of the earth...?

Unfortunately in velvet? Who cares about record books, that's a once in two lifetimes kind of buck especially to be killed in velvet in the Tennessee season. He looks old to me
