Ghost Blind

Didn't want to derail another blind thread so parted this part out. I recently came across a good deal on a Ghost Blind, I think it is a good concept but don't know how it will do in practice. I had made a couple of hog hunting trips to TX were I could have used this or something similar to get closer or at least a better angle to a feeder I hunted at. Anyone used one of these; thoughts?

I always wondered about glare from the sun. They're just a big mirror, so I'd think placement related to sun position would be very important. Never bought one to try it though.

A friend of mine bought one and they seem to work pretty good especially in certain situations. I'd recommend getting a couple of extra panels. The kit as is is too small.

The panels angle down so glare isn't an issue. They reflect your ground surroundings. Had the gun model, never used it so sold it. Had it been the model for bows I would have kept it.

I was going to use the pop up until I saw this post. I like to run and gun at least the first day on new ground so I think this will be perfect for public ground hunts. I bought the runner kit on sale so I have the backpack and seat. It will be easier to carry than the hub, but about the same weight. I think it might be effective if I can position right. And if the weather cooperates I don't mind hunting on the ground.

I ordered the Runner Ghost Blind kit, from the GB webpage. It came in today. The kit was a big saving cost wise for all the components that came in the box; the blind, extensions,stakes, backpack/seat and a hat. It is a lightweight rig, about 12-14 lbs., and once I get accustomed to setting it up I expect it will be perfect for run and gun hunting. You have to be sure of having a strong background behind you otherwise your silhouette maybe sky lighted.The Runner blind itself is pretty short height wise so without the extensions it would way to short for me at 6'. The backpack turns into a folding seat for the ground. The built in angle of the blind ensures that the sun will not directly reflect in it. And the hat looks like it will work too.

Best advice I can give you is if you are field hunting set up a couple feet inside the woodline with it. Also make sure the panels are tilted down. In the woods it works really good.

Saw this in a group on Facebook... pretty slick setup but I'd really worry about glare with it, doesn't look like the walls are angled down like the ghost blind panels

Pretty slick alright, don't know about the glare, as the elevation king of forces an angle, but I wonder about durability, or is it taken down daily, or after season, I wonder?
