Anybody use one of these? Not for me, but a hunter on my lease is considering it.

Those things are expensive! And bulky.

When hunting from the ground, primarily turkey, I use one of the roll-up camo net type material screens with 3' fiberglass poles.

Lance, my thoughts exactly. I have one homemade blind on the ground that I use surrounding trees and some camo netting and have it brushed in with some pine branches and such from surrounding trees. Only hunted it a couple of times last year - saw one deer, but they were on camera just about every time I checked. Not big on spending that kind of money for something like that. Another lease member is considering trying DIY one.

And with the roll-up screen, you can grab it and relocate quickly. Plus, I like that you can look out through the net material.
I've had one for many years and it is still good as new, all for about $20.

After season last year I got to set one up and sit in it and carry it in it's backpack. It's not too bad bulky but I wouldn't want to have to maneuver through thick areas with it. It sets up fast and easy. I can see certain applications where it would work great and be very mobile and fast to move and re-set it up. I'd buy one in a heart beat if I did more hunting off the ground. My buddy did and this will be his first year. Just a tip in case someone is going to buy one... Once set up the original comes with enough panels to block you from being seen from the front. You can get an extra 2 panel package and I'd suggest adding that to the purchase. These extra "wings" provide enough cover to wrap around both sides of the blind providing additional cover in case deer approach from the side. The blind has short top panels that give it a little more height but I can't remember if they come standard or if they're also an extra. If not standard then I'd add those in as well.
