Finally got a chance to try out our seek outside four man tipi, and wood stove. (Thanks rockchucker30). Very easy and quick set up. Lots of room. Stove is easy to set up as well. Setting up the flue was a lot easier to with 2 people.

I almost bought that same setup this past spring but opted to just buy a new 2 man tent instead. Now, my wife has gotten into backpacking with me, so I may be back in the market for a tipi and stove. Let us know how it works for you on your hunt.

Dang man, I was hoping to heat my coffee up on a woodstove this Oct!

think it the weight for everything is around 4lbs.the tipi is the lighter one they make, rockchucker recomended i get the lighter one since it will be used mainly for backpacking

That'll be a great setup for rifle. Get that pole extended a bit and tighten the fabric up. They like to be pretty darn tight. The sil will stretch a bit during the night anyway and will need to be re-tightened the next morning.

How was the stove pipe setup the second time? Little easier than the first? :)

Nice setup!

I was thinking about buying an outfitter tent and stove for future years out there for more room to hang out in the event of rain.

Have you looked at this company?

Supposedly excellent coatings on their fabrics, built to suit with doors/windows customizable, and the stove is pretty cool with the hot water heater attached

I used a small dome one year and went to a much larger one from then on. I never had rain. I had a lot of snow more than once.

Anything that will give you some room to stand up and move around, that is what I always wanted.

we leave first thing in the am.ready or not here we come.pack weights came in at 32 for her and 35 for me(without water or gun)
