well I'm late but finally getting into gear. Turkey season took gardening time away from me.

So far I have my main patch tilled, covered with woven weed barrier, and have it half way covered in wood chips to keep the weeds from getting sunlight and pushing up the fabric. Nothing is planted in the ground yet but will be ASAP.

I grow in a community garden sort of deal at a local church. Got a 24' x 36' patch and 2/3 of it will be tomatoes this year (32 plants grown from seed). 1/6 will be hot peppers and the other 1/6 will be cukes and maybe something else. Then since we have lots of empty space this year I will till another big patch for bigger cucurbits - butternut squash, pumpkins, cantaloupes. I have 2 varieties of cantaloupe seeds but feel as though I will not have enough cantaloupe. It is just too darn good, I eat so much of it.
