How do some of you get physically fit for hunting out west. I am heading out to Wyoming for a Mule Deer hunt in October. I have been working out several weeks preparing for the hunt. My regiment has been weight lifting, chin ups, and power walking with a 50# back pack. The walking part usually consist of about 30 to 45 minutes with several steep hills. I am currently trying to do this 5 times a week. I know that you can not be totally prepared but will this be enough. I have heard the thin air is the toughest part. All I know is that I want to be in good shape when I get there so I can make the most of my hunt.
