Wow...glad the police KNEW what she had. i once bought a pair of old foot lockers from an older woman who was being moved into a retirement home by her children. her husband had passed away several years before. they were locked and said there was no key and really had no belongings of value in them anymore so i could just throw away what was in them if i wanted. When i finally managed to open them i found her deceased husbands old navy uniforms from WW2 several medals still in presentation boxes including Navy Star and Purple Heart and a pair of mint Navy Colts in the presentation case with brass plate inscription that was given to him upon his retirement...i promptly returned them and told her and her children that they would problaby want to keep these things in the family...

As good as the police was toward her and the gun she can still get in trouble for having a "unlicense" Class 3 machine gun. Ever if it does not work they still had to be decleared before a certain date and get licensed. if they want to keep it and sell it they will have to get around the BETF.
