Is it just me or have there been more big deer killed with a bow this year than normal? I know TNDeer only represents a tiny portion of the hunters in this state but it seems like every couple days another toad is being posted. I'm wondering if maybe the smaller acorn crop is playing a role in that if it is indeed the case.

I think it is about normal. There may be a few more being posted than normal. It's funny cause I was just thinking the opposite about Kentucky. I haven't herd about as many big deer being killed this year up there as normal.

That's what I was thinking! It seems like there's been a lot more nice bucks being taken during archery this year.

You should see some of the hunting groups on Facebook.
I can't remember seeing this many quality bucks this early.

I think a big aspect of seeing these bucks is the fact that year after year social media.gains popularity. Also whether you admit it or not, the hunting industry greatly influences the average hunter. Now a days anyone who shoots a good deer wants to have it all over the place just like if Michael Wadell kills a big deer. I don't pass judgement because I post tons of stuff all over the place, I simply think this is a influence on seeing "more" big deer being killed...just my .02
