For the guys that have used both, is the difference appreciable? I mostly fish for crappie & shellcracker

The 56 is pretty good. I haven't used a 54 before though.

Biggest thing I have noticed is on sidevu the image is much cleaner and you are able to pick stuff out of structure clearer compared to the 54. But the 54 ain't bad
I've got the 54, but found a 56 for $300 & wondered if worth the $

with the 93 you notice some difference in sidevu distance and soft target enhancements meaning the 56 will pick up more structure targets and fish dots than the 54 on the
megaherts frequency. the 56 also has the extra 800khz freq.
good deal at $300.
