I picked up the 700 ADL SS in 308.

Not liking the glass on it. The eye relief is horrible but I didn't buy it for the scope.

The scopes are junk, same here........I bought it for the gun not the scope. First thing I did when I got home this morning was pull the scope and rings, replaced with good quality rings and a Nikon 3x9x50 Prostaff I bought on here a few weeks ago. Next step, a good cleaning and it is ready to take to the bench.

I sighted in the rifle with the scope that came on it. The eye relief is just shy of 2 inches. As I was sighting it in, I could feel the scope touching my eye lashes or eye brows.

It made me self conscious about it and I started flinching - resulting in horrible groups.

Love the gun, but the scope is on its way out or on to one of my 22lr's or low recoil guns.
