Funky Antler

Is there any chance this guy's left antler will grow normally next year?

If his sides matched he'd be a 10pt. Because of the funky left antler he's got this year he is just an 8.

Obviously no guarantees what he will sprout but can a deer have a weird antler one year to only have a "normal" one grow the next year?

Possibly but I wouldn't count on it being a good match to the other side. When I see stuff like that they usually grow better the next season but not perfect.

It could be back normal, or may never grow normal again. Depends on what caused the side to grow funky.

This. I've seen everything from the one funky antler getting worse, to completely back to normal the next year. If the funky antler was caused by a body injury, and that injury completely heals, antler will go back to (or closer to) normal. If it was caused by skull or pedicle injury, it usually gets worse.
