That is a dang "FANTASTIC" day for surface hunting.
I used to absolutely love to walk the plowed fields looking for artifacts, no till pretty much put an end to it.
I remember when I was a boy our neighbor had a field on a knoll just off a major creek, I could fill up a brown paper lunch sack just about every time I went. If it was broken I just tossed it.
Days gone never to be seen again.
I used to make bows and arrows when I was a kid, I would take bird points and put them on my arrows (made out of cane) and shoot them at whatever. Usually one shot and the point was broken.My grandpa used to walk bare foot. They threw every one they could in the creeks and rivers to keep from stepping on them. Lol
