Full moon

My experience has shown activity peaks during first hour, and last hour, during full moon.
Also during 1/4 moon, no moon, and everything in between.

WHEN THE TEMPS ARE HOT! Because when it is hot, in early bow season, deer seem to move more when it is the cooler part of the day.

And when temps are not hot, during the rut chasing phase, JUST HUNT.
Especially when it is cold.

In other words, pay more attention to temps and time of year than moon.

After a full moon night? Yes, I suppose I have about as much then as any other time. I can think of two instances-yesterday and some years ago when I killed the third largest deer I have ever killed with a bow.

I'm sure there are several other instances and I can see no reason the full moon would make a bit of difference. Deer are not fish.

Buddy shot one at 830 this morn. Said 4 came in went strait to a oak and started eating acorns. So there ya go.

Didn't see my first deer today until 1030 and he was a dandy knew something wasn't right and circled down wind and busted me grrrrrr

Me and my hunting partner argue about this all the time. I have killed SEVERAL bucks on a full moon. I don't think it makes one bit of difference. Just another topic to sell some hunting books.

I've never seen many deer early with a full moon. I seem to always get busted walking in on a full moon, just like this morning.
