I took the boys to Loudon yesterday and we caught a few like these. Only got to fish about 2 1/2 hours due to a bday party the boys had to go to but was surprised we didnt catch any Smallmouth. Water temp was 44 degrees in the channel with decent color in the water as well.

I would be surprised with no smallies with that water color too, but they can be a moody fish sometimes. On a whim, is that boat a Triton aluminum?

Larry, its actually a Lowe aluminum boat. I about bought another Bass boat, but with 2 boys i decided to wait a couple more years and stay with the less damagable aluminum! :)

Thought that it was aluminum. I have a 19' Triton Aluminum w/ a 200 Optimax and absolutely love it. I had a 17' version prior that Swamphunter now has and bought another when I upgraded to a larger boat. I have fished out of every fiberglass boat there is, but there is just something about those big aluminums that are set up like the glass boats that I absolutely love.

Sounds nice Larry. This is my first aluminum fishing boat, as I use a 16 ft jon to hunt and trout fish from and have even used it in a few tourneys when my big boats were broke down but this is new to me. I really like it so far, especially having 2 boys.

Looks like a big house in the background, you sure thats not ky lake?

I agree. Kinda looks like Paul Rister's house to me......

:D Fort Loudon is now ruined for good now. I am hooking up the Triton and headed east this weekend along with all of my buddies to throw an Al rig on a spinning reel. I just hope that there isn't a tournament going on. Maybe Paul will have some insight on the genetics of fish in that pocket.

Sorry, couldn't resist.......

I caught a bag of bass today on Tellico that would win a dang FLW tour event while crappie fishing. Just look for all the 5 lb bass flopping on the bank. LOL!!! J/K. I don't know why you guys are casting the banks for bass. Try some 12-18 ft water on flats and drag ANYTHING slow along the bottom and you should wear em out.
