I set some cameras at some fence crawl unders and been getting lots of pics of coyotes. I ordered some snares (first time). Set the snares up and haven't seen a yote since. Been almost a week.

I think coyote is an Indian word for frustrating. Just keep checking them from a distance with binos and maybe don't check the camera. They may smell something is different or notice human activity or maybe they are just 5 miles away. I haven't had any action the last two mornings either even though I hear them. Hang in there we will get them eventually.

Did you clean the snares or just use them straight from the box? The reason I ask there is oil on them sometimes .

I soaked them in the water I boiled my traps in with walnut hulls.

I normally boil them in baking soda then let them air dry then lightly paint them and let them air out again then store them in air tight containers. But that's way before season starts .
