Cold fronts are often the ticket to seeing deer become active. Would you rather hunt on the front side of one moving in, during it, or on the backside? I've had good luck on the front side but I've actually done better on the back side of a cold front. Once the winds blow the system out of the area, the temps stay cold, and bluebird skies return I almost always see deer.

Yes it's the opposite of fishing, I prefer to hunt after it gets cold and clears out. But I will hunt any chance I get long as it's not pouring rain or blowing 40 mph

Front side for me!!! I have had luck on the backside many times but prefer the front side for the big boys. My Second favorite time is the moment it stops raining. I've also seen really Highwinds get The big boys up early on their feet.

x2 Hunt on the backside and fish on the front.

Backside especially if it's a pretty strong front with a definite sudden end to the rain. Be in your best tree stand overlooking a field.

Front, during and after especially during the rut. Pouring rain is about the only thing that will keep me from hunting. Really think a windy day during the rut is an awesome time to bag that big buck as he will use the wind to sniff out the hot does
