Got my meat worked up from the 8 point on Saturday.
I bought the grinder attachment for our Kitchen Aide mixer.
48 packs of burger each pack is pound to pound and half at least.
Wifey is tickled. I had both of those dish pans heaped full of burger.
Sure is nice to reap the benefits of hunting from time to time.

Nice! If i get a big one this year, i think I am doing all sausage with it.

Made some sausage last year.
It's awesome!
Hopefully I'll get one or 2 more deer and try some more.

Good deal, nothing better than a freezer full.

I haven't been on here since the old TNdeer days, if there a recipe forum? There were some old recipes on the old site that I can't get to any longer.

Never made any sausage but always wanted. Now may be the day if I get another deer this year. Sausage and some jerky.

How do you like the grinder attachment, Tennessee Lead? Fiancée and I just received the big Kitchen-Aid mixer as a wedding present and have been looking at buying that attachment.

Love me some sausage. The daughter makes it fresh all the time. It's supposed to be good for me. I don't care. It tastes good.

Love me some sausage right here! I've got about 20 pound I am needing to make.

I too used a kitchen Aid attachment for years but didn't have stuffing tubes. I bought a LEM #5 grinder with stuffing tubes and am glad I did. If you want to make sausage consider the High Mountain Home Sausage Making Kit in Summer Sausage from Academy Sports or Bass Pro. You use 12# of venison and 3# of pork and it cooks in your oven. The kit makes two batches of 5 sticks each 3# and taste professional without the fat.

That is great,I've processed 4 deer already, received my new stuffer yesterday and I've made sausage all day.

Dang that's a lot of ground. Looks good. Next deer I kill is probably going to be all jerky and ground, except for the backstraps which will probably end up being steak

I use the kitchen aid grinder attachment as well... been through several dozen deer, as well as 3 elk... It works great. buy your wife the kitchen aid for Christmas, and get the grinder attachment for $75 for yourself.

I've used the kitchen aid grinder for the last few years. This year I bought a LEM and haven't seen but one deer in the woods. Looks good though! Great job.
