If you will change your grip that won't happen lol . But yes it does hurt . I will get my wife shooting with perfect form and nowhere close to hitting her arm . And then when I'm not there and she's shooting she hits it all the time . Can't teach women nothin .

Either your grip is wrong, or the draw length is too long�either way....yes, it hurts but it can be corrected.

Worse than that is not having your thumb low enough on a crossbow. OMG that stings bad. Make u say a few choice words.

Oh yes, a friend just got his thumb with the x bow - several stitches later...

I learned the hard way about draw length...after hitting my forearm the third time, I was pretty sure my buddies draw length was a tad too long...Bruise lasted about a week.

Install a string stop on your bow if you dont have one already.

My draw is 31" and I have never even grazed my forearm, compound or recurve. Proper form is a must IMO.

I used to have a habit of rolling my shoulder forward when I was tired. That stopped completely the day I drew blood.
