I had some fried pickles at zaxby, and they made me want to try it myself. I got that vidalia brand (green box )batter and mt olive sliced dills, it was great with the trout I caught yesterday.

Hooters has great fried dill pickles. I prefer the chips rather than the spears. Never tried to make em myself, but I'll get around to it one day.

Right now...here at Kroger, in the deli section they have the best dill pickles I have ever had. They are even better than the Polish Wyrobs. (sp)

Dry with paper towell. Roll or shake in 2/3 flour, 1/3 corn meal and touch of cracker crumbs. Dip in buttermilk and egg wash. Shake again in flour mix. Fry at 360 degrees for as long as it takes to brown. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. But be carefull, those suckers can be real hot and love to burn your tongue.

Goes fantastic with a cheeseburger and a very cold beer.

This is how I make mine.

Dry pickles with a paper towel and set aside.

For batter..
1 1/4 cup of flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper
mix dry ingredients well
add 1 cup of beer and 2 TBSP of pickle juice

dredge pickles in batter and fry at 375 for about 3 minutes or until brown

For dipping sauce (it may be a little "spicy" for some)

2 TBSP of sour creme
1 TBSP of ketchup
1 tsp of tabasco
1 tsp of horseradish
1/2 tsp of garlic, 1/2 tsp of seasoned salt

* milder dipping sauce
2 TBSP of mayo
2 TBSP of BBQ sauce
1/2 tsp seasoned salt, 1/2 tsp garlic, splash of hot sauce

You beat me to it.

Tried the Vidilia brand onion ring batter last night on some pickles and they turned out great.... I would recommend trying the batter...

Taste Like Toots in Murfreesboro Tn.
8 dill pickles
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup beer
1 1/4 tbsp. Paprika
1 1/4 tbsp. Cayenne pepper
1 1/4 tbsp. Black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. garlic salt
3 dashes Tabasco sauce

Cut the dill pickles in slices as thick as a silver dollar. Mix together the remaining ingredients to form the batter. Dip the pickles in the batter and quickly fry in the hot oil (375F) until pickles float to the top, about 4 minutes.
